If you have never used a window cleaner before, the unknowns are half the hesitation. Do I need to be home? Should I have done something beforehand? How long will someone be walking around my property? Here is exactly how a visit from us runs, start to finish.

The Visit, Step by Step

First, the technician knocks and introduces themselves — nobody just appears in your garden. Second, a walk around the property with you, where we ask one question that does a lot of work: is there anything specific bothering you about the windows? The answer tells us where to spend the extra care. Third, the clean itself. Fourth, a second walk-around at the end so you can see the result while we are still there to address anything.

How Long It Takes

From our own job records: an initial clean runs about 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, because the first visit does the heavy work of bringing every pane, frame and sill up to standard. Recurring visits run about 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes. Most of Dublin’s standard two-storey homes fall inside those windows.

What You Need to Prepare

Nothing. Genuinely — no moving furniture, no hosing anything down. We bring purified water and every tool with us and nothing is plugged into your supply. The only two things we ask: close any open windows before we start on that side of the house, and sort access. If you are home, just answer the door. If you are out, leave the side gate open and we will clean, photograph the finished work, and confirm by message.

Do You Need to Be Home?

For exterior cleans, no — access is all we need, and most of our regulars are at work while we clean. Interior cleaning is the exception, since we will be inside the house. More on how the two combine, including the plan discount, in do window cleaners clean inside too.
