Dublin does tall houses well: Victorian terraces over garden flats, Georgian townhouses, three-storey redbricks from Rathmines to Drumcondra. It also does nervous owners well — people who assume their top-floor glass needs scaffolding, abseilers or a small mortgage. It almost never does.

How We Reach Tall Glass

Our water-fed poles work from the ground to 11 metres, which covers the top storey of most three-storey Dublin homes with nobody leaving the ground. Purified water rinses spotless and dries clear even on panes no cloth will ever touch. We have worked on properties from three to five storeys across the city, and the pole system handles the overwhelming majority of it.

What Height Does to the Price

Taller work takes longer and demands more care, so it costs more than a standard two-storey clean — but less than most owners fear. Real figures from our price book: a three-storey Victorian typically lands around €90 to €100 for a full exterior clean. Five storeys and above is quoted individually and can reach €200 depending on the size of the property. Compare that to a scaffolding quote and the pole system explains itself.

The Older-House Details

Tall Dublin houses are usually old Dublin houses, which brings sash windows, original single glazing and painted timber frames. We adjust for all three — lighter pressure on single panes, gentler brushing on frames with older paint — the full approach is in our guide to delicate and older windows. Multi-pane Georgian glazing is counted properly in the quote rather than discovered on the day.
